The movie's total box office collection on day 6 stood at Rs 9.65 crore across 7,554 shows. With this, its total India gross collection stood at Rs 213.24 crore and total India net collections to Rs 179.35 crore so far, as per Sacnilk data at 10 pm on Tuesday, June 9.

The movie's overseas collection stood at Rs 1 crore on day 6, which took its total overseas gross collection to Rs 48 crore so far. With this, the movie's total worldwide gross collection stood at Rs 261.23 crore, as per Sacnilk data.
Peddi Box Office Collection Crosses Rs 315 Cr Mark, Says Moviemakers
While Sacnilk data hints that Peddi Box Office collection is still short of surpassing the Rs 300 crore mark, the moviemakers, on Tuesday, announced that Peddi has earned more than Rs 315 crore worldwide.
"BOX OFFICE CHAMPION #PEDDI continues his dominance. Peddi collects a gross of over 315 CRORES + GROSS WORLDWIDE in 5 days," read an Instagram post by Vriddhi cinemas.
Peddi Day 6 Box Office Occupancy
Peddi's box office occupancy also saw a sharp decline on Tuesday. Its total box office occupancy stood at 26.51% on day 6 (excluding night shows). The movie's morning shows occupancy stood at 17.38%, afternoon shows occupancy stood at 28.98%, and evening shows occupancy stood at 33.23%. Night shows occupancy is yet to be updated at Sacnilk website.a
Peddi's Janhvi Kapoor Controversy
While the movie is receiving applause for its central theme revolving around social equality and the struggle of an oppressed community for identity, portrayal of its female lead character sparked huge criticism. The portrayal of Janhvi Kapoor's character, Achiyyamma, garnered huge backlash with many social media users calling it "hypersexualised".
As the controversy gained momentum, Peddi's director Buchi Babu Sana apologised on social media and had promised to edit out of the theatrical version of the film.
