Penny Stock Under Re 1: Shares of NCL Research Financial Services Limited rallied on Tuesday to hit their upper circuit mark. The rally in the NBFC stock came after the announcement of the first quarter results for financial year 2026-27.

NCL Research Q1 Result

The firm had reported a net profit of Rs 1.13 crore in the June quarter of FY27. Its net profit stood at Rs 5.59 crore in the March quarter and around Rs 1.7 crore in Q1FY26. The company's total revenue from operations stood at Rs 1.67 crore during the quarter under review. The firm's net revenue stood at Rs 1.82 crore in June quarter of FY26 and at Rs 28 lakh in the March quarter.

NCL Business Expansion Update

Few days before the announcement of June quarter result, NCL had announced its entry into digital personal loan segment. The company's board of directors approved its entry into the digital personal loan segment for robust growth, supported by increasing digital adoption, rising consumer spending, expanding financial inclusion and growing demand for quick, technology-driven credit solutions.

"In a significant strategic initiative aimed at expanding its financial services platform, the Board of Directors has approved the Company's entry into the personal loan business, subject to applicable laws, regulatory approvals, if any, and completion of all necessary statutory and corporate formalities," stated the company in its BSE filing released on July 30.

Considering the growing market for India's retail credit market, due to sustained market, favourable demographics and increasing credit formalisation, the firm stated that it is ready to diversify its revenue streams.

NCL Research And Financial Services Share Price Trend

The stock closed 4.92% higher at Rs 0.64 per share on BSE with a market capitalisation of Rs 68.50 crore. The company scrip touched an intraday high mark of Rs 0.64 per share and an intraday low mark of Rs 0.61 per share.

The stock has delivered 33% return in one month and around 28% return in 2026 so far. Its share price value has surged around 100% in three months.
