Pensioners Can Now Get Digital Life Certificate At Nearest Post Office: Here's How
Pensioners and other elderly folks will soon be able to acquire a Life Certificate from their nearest post office, according to India Post. According to the official Twitter account of India Post, "Senior citizens can now easily avail the benefit of Jeevan Praman services at the nearest post office CSC counter." Following the release by Indian Post, a pensioner can get a Life Certificate at their local post office rather than the pension disbursing agency or the authority where they are employed.
According to the official website of jeevanpramaan.gov.in "In order to get this life certificate the individual drawing the pension is required to either personally present oneself before the Pension Disbursing Agency or have the Life Certificate issued by authority where they have served earlier and have it delivered to the disbursing agency." Instead of the nearest post office, pensioners can also visit their nearest Jeevan Pramaan center to get their Digital Life Certificate online.
Regarding the same, the official website of Jeevan Pramaan has stated for pensioners that "Digital Life Certificate for Pensioners Scheme of the Government of India known as Jeevan Pramaan seeks to address this very problem by digitizing the whole process of securing the life certificate. It aims to streamline the process of getting this certificate and making it hassle free and much easier for the pensioners."
One can get the details of his or her nearest Jeevan Pramaan center just by sending an SMS or making a toll-free call. Just type JPL and send it to 7738299899 from your mobile number or dial 1800 111 555. A selection of Jeevan Pramaan centers in the vicinity of the specified PIN Code will be sent to the pensioner. By selecting the nearest center from the list, a pensioner can make a visit to get a Digital Life Certificate or Jeevan Pramaan Patra online.
