According to a price notification from state-owned fuel retailers, the price of petrol has increased by 30 paise per litre and the price of diesel has increased by 35 paise per litre. Fuel prices have risen for the sixth day in a row, setting a new high.
According to the announcement, the price of petrol in Delhi reached an all-time high of 104.14 per litre, while in Mumbai it reached 110.12 per litre.

Diesel currently costs 100.66 rupees a litre in Mumbai, and 92.82 rupees in Delhi.
Prices vary by state, based on the amount of local taxes levied.
In Kolkata, petrol has increased in price to 104.80 rupees, while diesel has increased in price to 95.93 rupees. Meanwhile, in Tamil Nadu's main city of Chennai, the price of gasoline has been raised to 101.53 rupees, and the price of diesel has been raised to 97.26 rupees.
State-owned fuel merchants have begun passing on the higher incidence of cost to consumers starting Wednesday, abandoning their mild price-change strategy. The price of petrol has been raised by 30 paise a litre for four days in a row, and the price of diesel has been raised by 35 paise, marking the largest rate increase in history.
International benchmark Brent crude has risen to over USD 82 a barrel as a result of OPEC's resolution not to increase output by more than 0.4 million barrels per day, fuel prices have risen by a greater percentage.
