Petrol, Diesel Prices Left Unchanged Today: Check Rates

For quite a while now, auto fuel prices have been continuously rising and in many states and Union Territories have now crossed Rs. 100 per litre level for petrol. Today, the state-run oil retailers that fix fuel prices have held rates unchanged. In the previous day (June 18, 2021), price of petrol saw a hike by 26-27 paise while diesel rates increased by 28-30 paise.

The states and UTs where petrol has breached Rs. 100 per litre level include Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Ladakh.

Since 2017, state-run oil marketing companies in India have been dynamic pricing model as per which rates are revised every morning at 6 am based on the average price of fuel in the global market in the preceding fortnight and foreign exchange.

Earlier, Union Petroleum and Natural Gas minister Dharmendra Pradhan said increase in fuel price across the country has been brought about by the recent surge in global crude oil prices.
