Petrol and diesel prices remained steady on June 30 after reaching fresh record highs the day before, according to a price announcement from state-owned fuel merchants. Prices in numerous major cities, including Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Chennai, and Kolkata, increased on June 29.
Among the above-mentioned five cities, Mumbai remains to be one of the most expensive metro cities in terms of fuel prices. The hike on June 29, the 32nd in less than two months, pushed fuel prices to new highs across the country.

In Mumbai, the price of petrol is currently Rs 104.90 per litre, while the price of diesel is Rs 96.72 per litre, representing a monetary rise of 34 paise and 30 paise, respectively. Petrol prices in Delhi creeping closer to Rs 99 per litre and diesel prices topping Rs 89 per litre.
