Petrol, Diesel Prices Unchanged For A Week

There has been a respite brought about to fuel consumers as today (July 24th) is the 7th straight day when prices of fuel both petrol and diesel have remain unchanged.

After last hike price of petrol in Delhi has closed to Rs. 102 mark per litre. Diesel prices in the national capital are at Rs. 89.87 per litre. Since 2017, prices of fuel are being revised daily at 6 am based on the international crude rate as well as rupee dollar price movement. Of late rupee is seen depreciating against the dollar. Rupee on Friday closed at 74.4075.

Fuel prices vary from state to state based on the tax incidence of VAT as well as freight charges.

For some time now, international crude rates are moving in a range and last traded higher by 0.36% to $72.17 per barrel. International rates after the curbs have been lifted and there is a recovery in demand has helped in curbing any further rise in domestic fuel rates.
