Petrol, Diesel Prices Unchanged On July 19: Know Latest Fuel Rates In Your City
On Monday, petrol prices in the country stayed steady, while diesel prices remained unaltered. Petrol rates in Delhi stayed unchanged at Rs 101.84 per litre, while diesel prices remained unchanged at Rs 89.87.
Nonetheless, petrol costs have risen to a new high across the country. Petrol prices in many metro areas are approaching or exceeding Rs 105 per litre. Diesel prices aren't getting any better as they approach Rs 100 per litre. In the last two months, rates have risen by as much as Rs 11 due to all-time high prices.
On July 17, fuel prices increased by 26 to 34 paise, while earlier diesel price increases ranged from 15 to 37 paise.
In Chennai, one litre of petrol costs Rs 102.49 and one litre of diesel costs Rs 94.39. Petrol costs Rs 102.08 per litre in Kolkata, while diesel costs Rs 93.02. In Bhopal, one litre of petrol costs Rs 110.20 and one litre of diesel costs Rs 98.67.
Government-imposed taxes account for the majority of today's fuel prices. State-level taxes, federal taxes, excise duty, and V.A.T. all account for a significant amount of prices.
Oil prices fell more than 1% on Monday after the OPEC+ group of producers agreed to increase supply over the weekend after an earlier accord fell apart owing to UAE objections (UAE).
