Petrol Prices Cross Rs. 90 In Some Cities On Continuing Price Hike

With continuing price surge on fuel i.e. both petrol and diesel since last Friday, prices in some of the cities have crossed the threshold of Rs 90 per litre. And among them is the city of Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh.
As per Madhya Pradesh Petrol Pump Owners Associations President Ajay Singh, petrol and diesel prices quoted at Rs. 90.05 and Rs 80.10 per litre respectively.
Internationally, crude has scaled to $48 on vaccine created optimism that is seen to push up demand and furthermore OPEC+ is seen to keep crude supply in check. Further Singh also highlighted that the state of MP charges higher VAT of 39% and 28% on petrol and diesel, respectively.
