PhonePe Repositions Share.Market As PhonePe Invest, Launches New Investment Management Tool
PhonePe has evolved its investment platform Share.Market to PhonePe Invest, bringing its stock market and investment services under the PhonePe brand. Along with the name change, the company has introduced a new feature called Portfolio Optimiser, which aims to help users understand their investments and make better decisions about where to put their money.

The move brings PhonePe's investment services closer to its other offerings, which include digital payments and financial products. The platform allows users to invest in stocks, mutual funds and IPOs, while also offering futures and options trading.
What Is PhonePe Invest?
PhonePe Invest is the new name for Share.Market, which was launched in August 2023 through PhonePe's wealth broking subsidiary. The platform was introduced to give users access to stock market investments and other financial products.
With the rebranding, PhonePe is looking to make investing a part of the services people already use through its app. PhonePe reported crossing 70 crore registered users in April 2026, giving its investment business access to a large existing user base.
Know About Portfolio Optimiser And How Does It Work?
The biggest feature announced alongside the rebranding is Portfolio Optimiser. In simple terms, it is designed to help investors check how their investments are performing, understand where their money is invested and identify areas that may need attention.
The tool has three options:
Build: This option is aimed at people who are new to investing and need help getting started. It is designed to guide users as they begin building their investment portfolio.
Review: Investors often hold shares and other investments across different demat accounts, making it difficult to get a complete picture of their money. The Review feature brings these investments together to help users understand how their portfolio is performing and whether their money is spread across different investments and sectors.

It also provides research-based suggestions that classify investments as Hold, Monitor or Sell. These are intended to help users assess their holdings, rather than requiring them to track every investment separately.
Optimise: This feature is designed to identify investments that may be underperforming, highlight situations where too much money is concentrated in one sector and suggest alternatives. PhonePe says users can use the tool to improve their portfolio through a one-click process.
However, these suggestions do not guarantee profits or protect investors from market losses. Users should understand the risks before making investment decisions.
Investment Options Available on PhonePe Invest
PhonePe Invest offers access to several investment products, including stocks, mutual funds, initial public offerings (IPOs), exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and futures and options (F&O).
Stocks allow investors to buy a share in a listed company, while mutual funds pool money from multiple investors and invest it in assets such as shares and bonds. IPOs allow investors to apply for shares when a company offers them to the public for the first time.
Futures and options are more complex market products that can involve significant losses. They may not be suitable for beginners who are unfamiliar with how they work.
PhonePe began as a digital payments platform and has expanded into several financial services over the years. Its investment business is another step in that expansion, allowing the company to offer users more financial products through its ecosystem.
