Hyundai Car Price Hike: South Korean auto major Hyundai Motor India Limited is all set to raise prices of its cars across ranges. The automaker is likely to raise prices by 1% across the categories, including Hyundai Creta SUV, Hyundai Venue, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, etc.

The price revision is likely to be done due to a combination of rising input and commodity costs, higher operational expenses and continuing geopolitical and macroeconomic uncertainties, according to Hyundai.

Hyundai Car Price Hike Details

While the firm has taken every possible step to optimise costs and absorb cost escalations to minimise the impact on customers. The persistent escalated cost pressures have necessitated passing on a part of the increased costs to customers through this marginal price revision.

The recent surge in price hikes has come after the firm revised prices across models in June this year. Hyundai had raised prices by nearly Rs 12,8000 depending on the model and variant.

The back-to-back revision in car prices has come as the persistent crisis in West Asia has disrupted trade routes and energy markets, driving up the prices of key inputs and pressuring companies to pass higher costs on to customers.

Maruti Suzuki Car Price Hike

Maruti Suzuki raised prices across its Arena and Nexa lineup from August 2026. It marked its second price hike this year after a similar revision in June. The increase in prices across its Arena and Nexa lineup came into effect from August this year. The increase varies by model and variant, ranging from Rs 2,500 to Rs 30,000 across the portfolio.

Hyundai Share Price Trend

The company's scrip opened higher on Thursday, August 20. The stock was trading 0.98% higher at Rs 2199.3 per share on BSE with a market capitalisation of Rs 1,78,523.41 crore. The company scrip touched its 52-week high of Rs 2,889.65 per share on BSE on September 22, 2025. The tock dipped to its 52-week low of Rs 1,658.45 per share on April 6, 2026. The stock has a return on equity (ROE) of 37.27%.
