Prime Minister Narendra Modi is releasing the 22nd installment in an event at Guwahati, Assam, on March 13, 202. PM Kisan offers Rs 6,000 per year benefit, and the instalments are released in three of Rs 2,000 each to eligible farmers. The 22nd installment includes over Rs 18,640 crore which will directly transferred to bank accounts of 9.32 crore farmer families across the country.
PM Kisan 22nd Installment: What Time You Will Receive Rs 2,000 In Your Bank Account?

The installment will be done through direct benefit transfer (DBT) which will begin from 5pm onward on March 13. Hence, you can expect the amount to be credited in your account by the day.
Union Agriculture Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan reiterated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government has placed the welfare of farmers at the heart of policy-making. He noted that initiatives such as the PM-KISAN scheme, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Soil Health Cards, expansion of Kisan Credit Cards and the continuous increase in Minimum Support Price (MSP) are driving a positive transformation in the lives of our Annadatas.
He appealed to farmers across the country, especially those in Assam and other states, to verify their status on the PM-KISAN portal and complete their e-KYC at the earliest, ensuring the timely transfer of the 22nd instalment into their accounts on March 13.
How Does PM Kisan Scheme Benefit Farmers?
Commenting on the development, Lokanath Panda, COO, BLS E-Services, said the upcoming release of the installment reflects the government's continued efforts to support rural livelihoods.
He added, "The 22nd installment of the PM-Kisan scheme, to be released today by the Hon'ble Prime Minister, reflects the government's continued commitment toward supporting rural livelihoods. With Rs 18,640 crore set to be transferred to 9.32 crore farmers, the scheme reinforces the importance of Direct Benefit Transfers (DBT) in ensuring timely and transparent financial support for the agricultural community."
Adding he also said that over the past five years, PM-Kisan has played a significant role in encouraging digital adoption at the grassroots level through initiatives such as e-KYC completion, Aadhaar-bank linkage, and digitisation of land records, which are crucial for smooth benefit disbursal.
Farmers can now complete e-KYC easily:
As per Chouhan, for the convenience of farmers, the "Know Your Status (KYS)" module has been made available on the PM-KISAN portal. This allows beneficiaries to check their payment status, eligibility, land seeding, Aadhaar linking and e-KYC status all in one place. The Union Minister informed that to simplify the e-KYC process, a face-authentication-based mobile app has been launched.
Through this app, farmers can complete their e-KYC from home without the need for an OTP or biometric device. Furthermore, state and village-level nodal officers are also assisting farmers in this process. Additionally, the AI-based voice chatbot "Kisan-eMitra," launched by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, is providing 24x7 information related to PM-KISAN in 11 regional languages, already resolving millions of queries from farmers.
With the release of 22nd instalment, the total cumulative amount transferred through PM Kisan has exceeded Rs 4.27 Lakh Crore. Among the beneficiaries of 22nd installment, 2.15 crore are women farmers.
