PM KISAN 9th Installment Will Be Released On This Date

As per a leading dailies report, the centre will release the 9th installment of PM-KISAN on August 9. PM KISAN is a central sector scheme with 100% financing from the government of India. The scheme was rolled out with the objective to extend income support of Rs. 6000 annually in three equal installments once every four months to small and marginal farmer families having combined land holding/ ownership of up to 2 hectares. The scheme became operational from December 1, 2018.

Until this far since the launch of the scheme, the centre has disbursed nearly Rs. 1.15 trillion under the scheme. In the pay-out made in May, the centre has disbursed a little over Rs. 19000 crore to 90 million farmer families.

How to enroll for PM-KISAN Benefits?

Any farmer can subscribe to the scheme by making an application at local revenue offices or with a nodal officer of the concerned state who is appointed by the state government. Also, there is an option of self -registration by farmers which can be done by accessing the PM-KISAN portal and common service centres.
