The Central Government has announced that it will release the 21st instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana on November 19, giving the much-needed financial support to farmers during the Rabi farming season. As part of this 21st instalment, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will transfer Rs. 2,000 directly into the bank accounts of eligible farmers across the country. So far, over 11 crore farmers have benefited from the scheme, receiving a total of Rs. 3.70 lakh crore since its launch, according to official data. The previous, 20th instalment, was released in August 2025.

However, not every registered farmer will receive the payment this time. The government has clearly stated that several mandatory verifications must be completed before the instalment can be credited.
Why Some Farmers Will Not Receive Their 21st PM Kisan Instalment
The government has made it compulsory for all beneficiaries to complete e-KYC updates to prevent fraud claims. Farmers who have not updated their e-KYC, Aadhaar-linked bank details, or land records may face delays or rejection of the payment. The instalment will be credited only if all details are up-to-date and verified in the PM-KISAN database.
Without these steps, the system will automatically withhold the payment. To help farmers complete their verification smoothly, the government has enabled three e-KYC options:
- OTP-based e-KYC using Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
- Biometric authentication at any Common Service Centre (CSC).
- Face-authentication e-KYC using the PM-KISAN mobile app.
These flexible options are intended to make the verification process easier, especially for farmers living in rural areas with limited access to Common Service Centres.
How Farmers Can Check PM Kisan Beneficiary Status
Farmers can check whether they are eligible to receive the 21st instalment by using either of these methods:
Step 1: Visit the PM-KISAN portal (pmkisan.gov.in) and open the "Farmers Corner" section.
Step 2: Use the PM-KISAN mobile app, available on both Android and iOS.
By entering their Aadhaar number or registered mobile number, farmers can instantly see if their payment has been approved, is pending, or has been rejected due to incomplete documentation.
All about PM Kisan Samman Nidhi
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) is a central government scheme launched in December 2018 to provide financial support to small and marginal farmer families in India. Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive Rs. 6,000 annually, disbursed in three equal installments of Rs. 2,000 every four months, directly into their bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
