To help the farmers, drone technology has been adopted in the agriculture space too. The mission has been taken on by the Prime Minister who on Friday flagged off 100 Kisan drone to spray pesticides across Indian cities, including poll-bound UP, Punjab and Goa.

"I am confident that this beginning will not only prove to be a milestone in the development of the drone sector but also will also open the sky to unlimited possibilities," Modi said.
This is as per Modi is the start of a new chapter in the adoption of novel agricultural facilities of the 21st century.
Supporting the initiative, he said that currently the new ecosystem is being developed for drones and over 100 startups are working towards the mission and this will soon increase to thousand. He further added that the government is working to remove the bottlenecks.
Further he said that the Chennai based Garuda Aerospace aims to manufacture 1 lakh drones over a 2 year period, this will also boost employment growth.
During budget speech 2022-23, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a stimulus for the farm sector. She said the government will promote Kisan Drones, organic farming, and create public-private partnerships for the delivery of tech services to the agriculture sector during the financial year 2022-23.
