Today, hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the 'Jan Samarth Portal' for credit-linked government schemes. With this launch, the portal will make it easier to take a loan under the government scheme. The portal allows users to apply for loans under 13 listed different government programmes online. At the moment, you will be able to apply for four different types of loans. Education, agricultural infrastructure, company start-up, and living loans are among them.

According to the JanSamarth website, the Jan Samarth Portal is a centralised digital portal where 13 credit-linked government schemes across education, agri-infrastructure, business activity and livelihood loans are linked on a single platform. Beneficiaries can digitally check their eligibility in a few easy steps, they can also apply online to eligible schemes and also get digital approval.
The portal is designed in such a way that from loan application to its approval, everything will be done online through Jan Samarth Portal. The portal will also allow applicants to verify the status of their loans. If they do not receive the loan, applicants will be able to file a complaint online.
