Revised PNB Credit Card Late Payment Charges
PNB's revised late payment fees for Visa and RuPay credit cards will depend on the outstanding amount due:
- Rs 500 or less: No late payment fee
- Rs 501 to Rs 1,000: Rs 500
- Rs 1,001 to Rs 10,000: Rs 750
- Rs 10,001 to Rs 50,000: Rs 1,000
- Above Rs 50,000: Rs 1,200
Earlier, there was no fee for dues up to Rs 1,000, while dues above Rs 10,000 attracted a fee of Rs 750. For credit cards issued against fixed deposits, the charge remains 30% of the minimum amount due, subject to a minimum of Rs 200 and a maximum of Rs 500 per billing cycle. Regular Luxura card charges will apply to PNB Metal Credit Card Luxura and PNB Luxura cards issued against fixed deposits.
PNB Failed Payments and Reward Redemption Fees
For applicable Visa and RuPay cards, a returned cheque or failed electronic clearing service (ECS) or auto-debit instruction will attract a fee of 2% of the payment amount, subject to a minimum of Rs 400. For fixed deposit-linked credit cards, the charge will be Rs 100 per instrument. Failed payments may also lead to late payment fees if the bill remains unpaid after the due date.
PNB will also introduce a Rs 99 fee for every eligible reward point redemption request on Visa and RuPay cards. The service was previously free.
PNB Utility Bills and Duplicate Statements
If total utility bill payments exceed Rs 50,000 in a billing cycle, PNB will charge 1% of the total payment amount, plus applicable taxes, capped at Rs 2,000 per transaction. The fee applies to eligible Visa and RuPay cards and was not charged earlier.
Customers requesting duplicate credit card statements older than three months will pay Rs 50 per month. E-statements will remain free.
From November 1, customers should check the charges applicable to their card, pay bills on time, maintain sufficient funds for auto-debit payments and review fees before withdrawing cash or redeeming rewards. Those who regularly make high-value utility payments should also assess how the revised fee may affect their overall costs.
