One of the top public sector banks in India, Punjab National Bank (PNB), has improved customer convenience and strengthened its digital investor services by launching a Demat Viewing Facility via its WhatsApp Banking platform. PNB customers can now instantly access important Demat-related information through the bank's verified WhatsApp Banking channel thanks to this innovation.

Customers who have Demat accounts with PNB, where the bank serves as a Depository Participant with NSDL and CDSL, can use the service. Eligible customers can securely view their Demat statement of holdings, transaction statements, outstanding charges, billing details, and report misplaced Delivery Instruction Slips (DIS) using the WhatsApp-based service. Customers can also open Demat accounts, access trading partner services, and explore PNB's depository services by using the bank's mobile application, PNB One App, and Internet Banking Platform.
Shri Sudhir Dalal, CGM-Business Acquisition & Relationship Management Division, PNB said, "By leveraging the widespread reach of WhatsApp, the Bank aims to simplify access to Demat services, reduce dependence on branch visits, and encourage greater participation particularly among first-time and long-term investors. This initiative reflects the PNB's broader commitment to strengthening digital engagement, advancing financial inclusion, and delivering secure and customer-centric banking solutions."
PNB WhatsApp Banking Services
You may handle all of your basic banking needs from the comfort of your home using Punjab National Bank's (PNB) banking services via WhatsApp, which is simple and convenient.
Add +91-9264092640 to your contacts list and use the Whatsapp symbol icon seen on PNB's different platforms to say "Hello," "Hi," and other requests to access PNB's banking services on WhatsApp.
Make sure this is a legitimate Punjab National Bank WhatsApp account by checking the green tick icon next to the bank's name before starting up a chat.
Even if you don't currently have a PNB account, you may still use the banking services on WhatsApp. However, you will only be able to access information-based services; you won't be able to access account-related services like balance inquiries or the latest five transactions, for example. You may still create an account and make use of all the services offered by Punjab National Bank.
On its official website, PNB has addressed the question of who is eligible to use WhatsApp Banking Services. It states that customers who are registered as "Individuals" or "Sole Proprietors" with the bank, whose WhatsApp number is registered with the bank, and whose accounts have the following operating modes: Self, Prop, Either or Survivor, Former or Survivor, Joint, and anyone else can only view them on WhatsApp.
Services like stop cheque and cheque book requests will be allowed by the bank according to the mode of operation. Currently, customers with mobile numbers from the following countries are allowed: India, the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Canada, and the Philippines.
