Like in some of the bank accounts, where there is a stipulation to maintain a certain minimum balance, Post office has also come up with a notification that it shall be levying some non-maintenance charges if the minimum amount is not maintained in the post office savings account.

And this minimum amount has been decided at Rs. 500 and in the next 12 days i.e. by December 11, 2020, customers of this account need to maintain the said amount, else it shall attract a penalty or non-maintenance charge.
