Siemens Energy India's net consolidated profit jumped 52.4% on a year-on-year basis to Rs 375 crore during the March quarter of the financial year 2025-26. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 246 crore in Q4FY26. Siemens Energy's revenue from operations increased by 27.4% to Rs 2,394 crore from Rs 1,880 crore in the year-ago period.
Hitachi Energy India's net profit stood at Rs 330.5 crore in Q4FY26, which was 79.7% higher than Rs 183.9 crore reported in the year-ago period. Hitachi Energy's revenue from operations increased by 46.2% to Rs 2,754.1 crore against Rs 1,883.7 crore in the year-ago period.
Siemens Energy vs Hitachi Energy: Q4 Result Review
Siemens Energy India's Q4 profit was largely in line with experts expectations, however overall margin remained weaker in Q4, as per Motilal Oswal's Q4 review. The brokerage also added that it expects margins to improve in the coming quarters. It also expects Siemens to "remain one of the beneficiaries of increasing spending on renewables, addition of data center capacities, improved capex trends on private sector industries, and export orders from renewables and data centers," as per Motilal Oswal report.
Hitachi Energy India's Q4 result was also in line with expectations by Motilal Oswal experts. While revenue beat the estimates, absolute EBITDA was largely in line at Rs 4.5 billion (+65% YoY), mainly due to a lower-than-expected margin of 16.3%, highlighted the brokerage in its report released on Tuesday, May 26. While overall base ordering and exports, excluding HVDC, remained muted for the company in FY26, the company may benefit from high growth segments and its domestic pipeline.
Siemens Energy vs Hitachi Energy: What Makes the Two Firms Similar?
Unlike the companies that are purely dedicated to power generation, Hitachi and Siemens mainly operate as technology and equipment providers to power infrastructure. Hence, they will be an indirect beneficiaries to rising power demand due to solar/wind capacity addition and surge in demand for grid infrastructure.
Substation, grid automation, electrification, and energy management technologies are key common areas of exposure for Siemens Energy and Hitachi Energy.
