Tax Cut On Covid Essentials; Check GST Rates On Covid Essentials After Reduction

The 44th GST Council convened through video conferencing today under the chairmanship of Union Finance & Corporate Affairs Minister Smt Nirmala Sitharaman. The GST rates on the listed commodities used in Covid-19 relief and management have been reduced by the Council until September 30, 2021.

Following recent modifications in the country's vaccine procurement plan, which puts the Union government in responsibility of expanding supply, the 5% GST paid on vaccinations was maintained untouched.

These rate reductions and exemptions will be in effect until September 30, 2021.
