Govt. Shares PM Modi's Ghibli Style AI Generated Images; 'Main Character? No! He's The whole storyline.'

The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi has also joined the viral trend of generating images from Studio Ghibli. The Union government on Friday shared a series of AI-generated portraits that show important moments from his time in office on the official social media handle of MyGov India.

The Indian govt. posted these AI-generated images of PM Modi on its social media accounts, including X (formerly Twitter) and the Instagram page of Government of India (GOI). The page captioned them, "Main character? No. He's the whole storyline. Experience New India in Studio Ghibli strokes."

The collection highlights memorable moments of PM Modi turned into AI-generated photos. First picture shows him in an Indian Army uniform, proudly holding the Tricolour.

The series also featured AI-generated photos of Modi in talks with foreign leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron and US President Donald Trump.

One AI-generated image depicted his sortie in a Tejas Twin Seat Light Combat Aircraft, while another showed him standing next to a Vande Bharat train. Another image shows him standing before the historic 'Sengol' sceptre, placed in the new Parliament in 2023.

Additionally, the PM's photo series included images from his visits to the Maldives and Lakshadweep. One image showed Mr. Modi participating in the cleanliness campaign, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

The Ghibli-style photo collection of the Prime Minister also includes his portrait when he attended the Ram Janmabhoomi inauguration on January 22, 2024. There are images depicts PM's love for animals including his pet calf 'Deepjyoti'.

After OpenAI launched its latest image creation AI tool on Wednesday, social media has been flooded with Studio Ghibli-style images. PM Modi also becomes an internet sensation again with his Ghibli-style artwork.

What is Studio Ghibli?

OpenAI has introduced image creation features within GPT-4o, making it accessible to free-tier users inspired by Japanese animations of Studio Ghibli.

Originally, Studio Ghibli is a Japanese animation film studio in Tokyo, Japan. It was established in 1985 by Miyazaki Hayao, Takahata Isao, and Suzuki Toshio. The studio is well known for producing films of the highest calibre, with captivating narratives and hand-drawn animation. Some of the most famous animated films of the studio are Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, My Neighbour Totoro, and Kiki's Delivery Service .

How to create your own Ghibli-style photos?

• Open the ChatGPT app. If you do not have the app, browse chat.openai.com on your browser.
• Log in with your OpenAI ChatGPT account credentials. To create your AI generated images, an active login account is required.
• Upload an image and add a description. Then it will generate your image as per your direction.

There are two methods for making a Ghibli-style portrait:

• Transformation from one image to another: Upload a picture and request that GPT-4o turn it into a Ghibli-style image.
• Text-to-Image generation: Give the user a thorough text prompt that, in the Studio Ghibli style, describes the character, background, and lighting.

Since the introduction of this new image generation feature on Wednesday, the trend has not stopped yet. The users are enjoying it and now they have started following PM Modi as well in this trend.
