Priority Jewels IPO Oversubscribed 29x On Day 2: GMP Spikes 22%; Should You Apply For Listing Gains?
Priority Jewel IPO has attracted lots of investor interest, as it has been subscribed more than 29 times before Day two of the subscription ends. Investors are currently weighing the IPO based on the first opinion that the excitement has pushed the expectations too high and the second opinion on whether it is worth applying for.

Per-share cost is around Rs. 90-200, and the total lot size is 75 shares. So as a retail investor, you need Rs. 15,000 to take one lot of this Priority Jewel IPO.
The stunning 29-times subscription brings a lot of positives when it comes to investing. But as we know, a strong subscription doesn't ensure profit. The heavy subscription makes the allotment difficult for retail investors. The current subscription should be seen as a measure of investor appetite, rather than a prediction of good returns.
How is Priority Jewel IPO interesting?
Priority Jewels is known for its lightweight, affordable gold and diamond jewellery. In the past, they have had very good standing relations with Caratlane, Kalyan Jewellers and Malabar Gold & Diamonds.
As per the current report, 75 out of 91 crore worth of shares that the company is issuing will go towards repayment of the old loan. This would result in betterment of the balance sheet of the company.
Should We Apply To Priority Jewels IPO?
Brokerage firm Anand Rathi has provided a positive view on this IPO. At the upper price band, the broking values Priority Jewels at around 20.5× FY26 P/E and 13.9× EV/EBITDA, implying a post-issue market capitalisation of around ₹360 crore. It describes the issue as "fully priced", meaning investors are not getting the stock at an obvious valuation discount.
Despite this, Anand Rathi has given the Priority Jewels IPO a "Subscribe for Long Term" rating.
The brokerage expects capacity expansion, debt reduction and diversification into newer jewellery categories to support future growth. It also believes the company is well placed to benefit from rising demand for affordable and designer jewellery.
There should be very cautious decision-making on investment for all the buyers who are looking for short-term gains. The 29X subscription reflects higher market demand but doesn't promise any kind of higher listing or capital gains.
For long-term gains, it can prove to be a good IPO investment. As Priority Jewels has strong customer relationships, improves its balance sheet after the IPO is listed, and also has a good market presence, the help of fellow companies like Caratlane, Malabar Gold and Diamond ensures that, in the longer term, this could be profitable.
We should also keep in mind that gold price volatility and competition with other market players still remain a big risk.
