Prose Technologies Projects 10-12% Year-on-Year Growth in India Driven by Telecom Advancements

Prose Technologies anticipates a 10-12% annual growth in its Indian operations over the next three years, aiming for approximately Rs 670 crore in revenue this fiscal year. Arshad Fakhri, President for India Region, shared this outlook at the India Mobile Congress. The ongoing 4G expansion by Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea, along with upcoming 5G developments, are expected to fuel this growth.

Green Antennas and AI Integration

Fakhri highlighted that future telecom networks will heavily rely on artificial intelligence, increasing the demand for green antennas. Prose has introduced green Protreem antennas, which operate at 85% efficiency compared to the 65% efficiency of older models. These antennas are particularly popular in Western markets like Europe, where they are sold at a 25% premium over traditional ones.

The high demand in Europe is anticipated to drive economies of scale, potentially reducing the cost of green antennas to levels more affordable for Indian telecom operators. Fakhri noted that Indian operators have shown strong support for green technologies. Prose expects to start generating revenue from these operators within the next 6-12 months.

Manufacturing and Expansion Plans

Prose is nearing the final stages of discussions with a telecom operator planning a significant network expansion. Most of the antennas for this project will be manufactured at Prose's facility in Pune. This collaboration underscores the company's commitment to supporting India's telecom infrastructure growth.

The company remains optimistic about its prospects in India, driven by technological advancements and supportive partnerships with local telecom operators. As Prose continues to innovate and expand its offerings, it aims to strengthen its position in the competitive telecom market.
