Prose Technologies is nearing a deal with a private telecom operator to supply antennas, aiming to finalise it within a month. Arshad Fakhri, President for India Region, shared this update at the India Mobile Congress. He noted that the ongoing 4G expansion by Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea, along with the upcoming 5G rollout, will boost the company's growth in India.

Fakhri mentioned that discussions are in their final stages and they anticipate concluding the agreement soon. Shipments are expected to commence by the end of this month or early next month. The deal focuses on mobile antennas, with supplies being arranged on a product-by-product basis. Most of these supplies will be manufactured in India.
Prose Technologies' Growth and Innovation
Prose Technologies has established a manufacturing facility in Pune. Fakhri projected a growth rate of 10-12% annually over the next three years. "We expect to clock USD 80 million, about Rs 670 crore, in the current financial year," he stated. The company is optimistic about its future prospects in the Indian market.
The next generation of telecom networks will heavily rely on artificial intelligence workloads. This shift is increasing demand for green antennas. Prose Technologies has introduced green Protreem antennas for the first time. These antennas operate at an efficiency level of 85%, compared to legacy antennas that function at 65% efficiency.
Green Antennas and Market Dynamics
The demand for green antennas is particularly strong in Western countries, especially Europe. These antennas are sold at a premium of 25% compared to traditional ones. "We expect the volumes in Europe will bring economies of scale to the product that will lower the price of green antennas to a level which will suit the cost economics of Indian telecom operators," Fakhri said.
Indian telecom operators have shown significant support for green technologies. Prose Technologies anticipates revenue from these operators within the next 6-12 months. The company is hopeful that increased production volumes will make green antennas more affordable for Indian telecom companies.
Prose Technologies' strategic focus on innovation and sustainability positions it well for future growth. By aligning with global trends and local needs, the company aims to strengthen its presence in both domestic and international markets.
