Stock Pick Of The Week: Steel Authority of India Limited shares surged nearly 4% during Tuesday's intraday trading session. The Maharatna PSU stock showcased a sharp upmove as it surged to its 52-week high in May, followed by some correction. According to Monarch Networth Capital, the stock has witnessed strong buying interest following its recent consolidation, signalling continued bullishness in SAIL shares.
SAIL share price was trading 3.6% higher at Rs 185.8 per share on BSE with a market capitalisation of Rs 76,737.11 crore at 12:36 pm on Tuesday. The stock touched an intraday high of Rs 186.30 per share and an intraday low of Rs 180.80 per share.

SAIL Share Price Target
Monarch Networth maintained a 'Buy' rating with a target price of Rs 200-220 per share for next three to four months duration. "Traders can look to accumulate SAIL in the 170-175 zone, targeting an upside of 200-220 over the next 3-4 months. A stop loss should be placed below 154 on a closing basis," stated the brokerage in its report released on Tuesday, August 25.
SAIL Share Price Technical Outlook
The metal stock has taken a long-term trendline that aligns with its 200-day exponential moving average (EMA). Its movement indicates a bullish price action as it has formed a higher-high and higher-low structure.
"The momentum indicator RSI has sustained the 50 level on both the daily and weekly charts. Additionally, the MACD has generated a bullish crossover and remained above the zero line on the daily timeframe, indicating that the upside momentum is likely to continue in the coming days."
SAIL Share Price Trend
SAIL share price opened stronger during Tuesday's trading session. Its share price touched a 52-week high of Rs 209.70 per share on May 29, 2026. The stock dipped to its 52-week low of Rs 118.10 per share on August 28, 2025. It has a return on equity (ROE) of 7.68%. The metal stock has delivered close to 25.4% return in 2026 so far. But it has declined around 5.8% over the last three months.
