Pushpa 2 The Rule: After storming the Indian theatres and OTT platforms with its sensational performance, Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 debuted on Hindi TV screens on May 31. Released in 2024, Pushpa has dethroned major blockbusters such as Baahubali 2 The Conclusion, KGF Chapter 2, RRR and Dangal in terms of India nett collection, becoming the highest grosser of all-time in the country.
Top 5 Indian Movies (India Net Collection):
As per data from Sacnilk, Puspha 2 currently holds the title of highest-grossing movie in India with a nett collection of Rs 1234.1 crore and Rs gross collection of Rs 1471.1 crore.
Pushpa 2 has outrun movies like Baahubali 2 The Conclusion (2017 ) and KGF Chapter 2 (2022) have India nett collection of Rs 1030.42 crore and Rs 859.7 crore, making them second and third highest grossers now.
Baahubali 2 and KGF Chapter 2's gross collection in India is to the tune of Rs 1416.9 crore and Rs 1000.85 crore, still behind Pushpa 2.
RRR (2022) and Kalki 2898 AD (2024) are the fourth and fifth grossers in India with nett collection of Rs 782.2 crore and Rs 646.31 crore.
Notably, the top 5 highest-grossing movies list in Indian cinema's history are dominated by South Indian movies on a nett basis.
Dangal which is currently the worldwide highest grosser from India, is at 16th position with nett collection of Rs 387.38 crore in India.
Top 10 Indian Movies (Worldwide Gross Collection):
In this category, Aamir Khan's Dangal holds the lead with worldwide gross collection of Rs 2070.3 crore. However, Dangal received lower demand in India with a gross collection of Rs 535 crore, while its most collections came from overseas market to Rs 1535.3 crore.
Baahubali 2 The Conclusion (2017) is the second grosser in worldwide terms with a collection of Rs 1788.06 crore. Of the total, Rs 1416.9 crore collection were grossly recorded in India, and Rs 371.16 crore were bagged in overseas.
Pushpa 2 falls behind in the overseas market with a collection of Rs 271 crore but outruns the above two in India with a gross collection of Rs 1471.1 crore. Due to this, Puspha 2's worldwide gross collection is slightly behind Baahubali 2, with Rs 1742.1 crore.
Pushpa 2 Hindi TV Premier:
Pushpa 2 has been released on TV in Hindi version. The movie premiered on Zee Cinema at 7:30 pm on May 31.
The Sukumar-Allu Arjun have also received recognition for their masterpiece.
The Telangana government has awarded Allu Arjun with best actor award for Puspha 2 at the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards 2024, making him the first actor. Arjun had received a national award for his extraordinary performance in Pushpa the first part.
Meanwhile, Sukumar received the prestigious "B. N. Reddy Film Award" at the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards.
Films critic, Taran Adarsh said, "After becoming the first Telugu actor to win the prestigious NationalAward for his spellbinding performance in Pushpa [first part], the supremely talented actor will be honoured with the Best Actor award at the Telangana Government's esteemed Gaddar Telangana Film Awards for his powerhouse performance in Pushpa2."

Pushpa 2 is the second instalment of Pushpa series, a sequel of Pushpa The Rise which was released in 2021. Directed and written by Sukumar, Arjun is the lead role alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Sunil and Rao Ramesh.
The plot picks up from Pushpa: The Rise, however, this time Pushpa faces intense battle with SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat.
Pushpa 2: The Rule was released worldwide on 5 December 2024 in standard, IMAX, 4DX, D-Box and PVR ICE formats to positive reviews from critics. The film set several box office records, making it the highest-grossing film in India, the highest-grossing Indian film of the year, the second highest-grossing Telugu film, and the third highest-grossing Indian film worldwide, as per Wikipedia.
