Adani Energy Solutions shares: Qatar Holding sells 48.05 lakh shares to Birla Mutual Fund

Qatar Holding LLC, linked to the Qatar Investment Authority, sold 48.05 lakh Adani Energy Solutions shares to Birla Mutual Fund in a BSE block deal worth Rs 643.52 crore. The shares were sold at an average price of Rs 1,339 each, and the stock closed up 2.10 per cent on Friday.

Qatar Holding LLC, linked to the Qatar Investment Authority, sold 48.05 lakh shares in Adani Energy Solutions. The sale went to Birla Mutual Fund through open market transactions on the BSE. Exchange data showed the deal value was about Rs 643 crore. The trade was reported under block deal information executed on Friday.

Qatar Holding sells Adani shares

BSE block deal data showed Qatar Holding LLC sold 48,05,974 shares in the company. This holding equals a 0.40 per cent stake in Adani Energy Solutions. Birla Mutual Fund bought the same number of shares. Both sides traded at an average price of Rs 1,339 per share.

Adani Energy Solutions share sale details

At the traded price, the transaction size came to Rs 643.52 crore. The buyer and seller matched on volume and price in the market. The sale was recorded as open market transactions. The data available on the BSE reflected the same count of shares on both sides.

After the transaction, Adani Energy Solutions shares ended higher on Friday. The stock rose 2.10 per cent on the BSE. It closed at Rs 1,368 per share. The closing level was above the average block deal price of Rs 1,339.

Adani Energy Solutions financial results

In its latest quarterly update, Adani Energy Solutions reported a small rise in profit. Consolidated net profit increased 1.3 per cent to Rs 723 crore. The result was for the quarter ended March 2026. The company had reported Rs 714 crore in the same quarter earlier.

The company also reported higher revenue for the quarter. Total income rose to Rs 7,588.08 crore in January-March FY25. It was Rs 6,596.39 crore in the year-ago period. The company said the increase in revenues supported the profit rise.

For the full fiscal year, the company posted a sharp rise in earnings. Net profit came in at Rs 2,392.75 crore. This was more than double Rs 921.69 crore as of March 31, 2025. Total income increased to Rs 28,325.16 crore from Rs 24,446.55 crore.

The block deal data showed Qatar Holding LLC reduced its exposure by 0.40 per cent. Birla Mutual Fund took over the same holding at the same price. The stock finished the day higher, while the company’s recent filings showed rising income and improved annual profit levels.
