Quant Mutual Fund Divests HEG Shares Valued at Rs 421 Crore

Quant Mutual Fund divested shares of HEG worth Rs 421 crore on Friday through open market transactions. The fund sold 18.62 lakh shares of HEG in two separate bulk deals on the BSE and NSE.

According to available data, Quant MF offloaded 9.5 lakh shares of Hindustan Electro Graphites (HEG) on the BSE and another 9.12 lakh shares on the NSE. The shares were sold at an average price of Rs 2,260 each, bringing the total deal value to Rs 420.86 crore.

HEG Share Performance

HEG's stock saw a slight increase following the sale. On the BSE, HEG's share price rose by 0.73 per cent to close at Rs 2,264.30 per share. Meanwhile, on the NSE, the company's shares gained 0.58 per cent, ending at Rs 2,261.50 per share.

The identities of the buyers for these HEG shares remain unknown. Despite the substantial sale, the stock prices showed resilience with minor gains on both exchanges.

Premji Invest's Transaction

In a separate transaction on the NSE, Premji Invest sold 29.41 lakh shares of Medplus Health Services for Rs 200 crore through an open market deal. The shares were sold by PI Opportunities Fund - I, an affiliate of Premji Invest.

The data from the exchange indicates that PI Opportunities Fund - I disposed of Medplus shares at an average price of Rs 680 each, making the total deal value approximately Rs 199.99 crore.

Following this transaction, Medplus Health Services' stock declined by 2.88 per cent to close at Rs 670 per share on the NSE.

The buyers for these Medplus shares could not be identified either. The significant sale led to a noticeable drop in Medplus Health Services' share price.

Both transactions highlight substantial movements in the market involving large quantities of shares and significant monetary values.
