Radisson Hotel Group Expands Its Presence in Tamil Nadu with Park Inn by Radisson Opening in Vellore

Radisson Hotel Group has launched its Park Inn by Radisson in Vellore, marking its entry into the city with the first internationally branded hotel. This move is part of the company's strategy to expand into tier II and III towns. The group already operates seven hotels in Tamil Nadu under various brands, including Radisson and Park Plaza.

The new hotel is strategically located on the Bengaluru-Chennai-Tirupati Highway. It offers versatile event spaces, such as a banquet hall suitable for meetings and weddings. Guests can enjoy diverse dining options at RBG-All Day Dining, which serves Mughlai and South Indian cuisines. Additionally, the rooftop venues Heavens Gate and Down to Earth provide unique dining experiences.

Focus on Expanding in Emerging Cities

Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director and Area Senior Vice President of Radisson Hotel Group South Asia, expressed enthusiasm about entering Vellore. "The opening of Park Inn by Radisson Vellore marks a prominent moment for us as we enter the city with the first internationally branded hotel," he stated. This initiative aligns with their strategy of being pioneers in cities where cultural heritage meets economic growth.

Radisson Hotel Group's expansion plan aims to have properties within a three-hour drive of each other. This approach allows them to cater to diverse travellers while fostering partnerships and recognising local talent. The company is excited about expanding into more emerging cities across India.

Vellore is situated approximately 180 km west of Chennai. The hotel's location provides easy access for travellers exploring the region's rich cultural heritage and growing economic landscape.

Radisson's Presence in Tier II and III Markets

The Radisson Hotel Group operates over 194 hotels worldwide, with more than half located in tier II and III areas. The company claims to be the largest hotel operator in tier-1 markets like Delhi-National Capital Region. Their focus on these regions underscores their commitment to tapping into emerging markets.
