Rahul Bajaj Of Bajaj Group Passes Away

Rahul Bajaj, a renowned businessman and the former chairman of Bajaj Auto passed away today after prolonged illness. The veteran aged 83 was not keeping well for long and took his last breath in Pune today.

The veteran industrialist has been survived by his two sons and a daughter. Last year in April 2021 after serving the industry for 5 decades, Rahul Bajaj stepped down from his position as the chairman and full time director at Bajaj Auto.

"It is with deep sorrow that I inform you about the passing away of Shri Rahul Bajaj, husband of the late Rupa Bajaj and father of Rajiv/Deepa, Sanjiv/Shefali and Sunaina/Manish. He passed away on the afternoon of 12th February, 2022 in the presence of his closest family members," a statement from Bajaj Group read.

Born in 1938, the veteran businessman headed the Bajaj group of companies. He had a Bachelors degree in economics, a law degree from Mumbai University and an MBA from Harvard. Bajaj was also a former member of the Rajya Sabha. Also, he had been the chairman of the International Business Council, World Economic Forum.
