Rajasthan Financial Corporation plays a vital role in financing micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by improving credit access and promoting entrepreneurship. Recent workshops highlighted the need for better loan schemes and support for small industries.
Har Sahay Meena, Executive Director of Rajasthan Financial Corporation (RFC), emphasised the importance of improving credit access for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to boost small industries' growth. Speaking at a workshop in Jodhpur, Meena highlighted the role of institutional finance in supporting entrepreneurs. The event was organised by Laghu Udyog Bharati to raise awareness about industrial loan schemes.

RFC, a state government entity, plays a crucial role in financing small industries and is dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship and industrial development in Rajasthan. During the workshop, representatives from Laghu Udyog Bharati presented a memorandum to Meena. They requested the appointment of a full-time technical officer at the Jodhpur office, staff strengthening, reduced interest rates on loans, increased subsidy limits under the Yuva Udyamita Protsahan Yojana, and quicker processing of pending loan applications.
MSME Loan Schemes and Support
Meena assured attendees that RFC would form a special team of technical officers to address pending cases at the Jodhpur branch by January 31. He explained various loan schemes offered by RFC, including the Yuva Udyamita Protsahan Yojana. This scheme aims to support young entrepreneurs with loans up to Rs 2 crore at an interest rate of approximately 5.5 per cent.
Other available schemes include general term loans, simple loan schemes, hotel and tourism-related loans, and project-based loans. Additionally, RFC offers top-up loans and single-window financing options for good borrowers. These initiatives are designed to cater to diverse business needs and promote economic growth in the region.
Commitment to Entrepreneurship
The workshop saw participation from RFC Jodhpur branch manager Alka Saluja, officials, Laghu Udyog Bharati office-bearers, and local entrepreneurs. The presence of these stakeholders underscored the collaborative effort required to enhance financial support for MSMEs. By addressing the concerns raised during the event, RFC aims to strengthen its commitment to promoting entrepreneurship in Rajasthan.
The focus on improving credit access for MSMEs aligns with broader efforts to stimulate economic development in the state. By providing tailored financial solutions and addressing administrative challenges, RFC seeks to empower small businesses and drive sustainable growth across various sectors.
