Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said LPG availability in the state remains adequate despite reports of a wider commercial cylinder shortage linked to the West Asia conflict. He ordered close monitoring of LPG distribution, set up state and district control rooms, and cancelled leave for key officials. Authorities were told to act against hoarding, black marketing, rumours, and fake news.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said LPG supplies in the state remained adequate on Wednesday. Sharma said domestic cooking gas delivery was running smoothly and normally. The statement came as a reported shortage of commercial LPG cylinders affected parts of the country. Officials linked the wider situation to the conflict in West Asia.

Sharma told officials that constant checks were needed to keep the supply chain stable. Sharma said, "There is no problem in the supply of cooking gas in Rajasthan,\". Sharma also said people should not trust rumours about shortages. Sharma said the Centre was tracking global events closely and guiding the system.
LPG cylinders supply in Rajasthan: Monitoring and control rooms
During a review meeting, Sharma asked departments to track cylinder availability and distribution closely. Sharma directed officials to set up control rooms at state and district levels. The aim was to respond quickly to local issues and keep delivery running. Officials were also asked to share updates on supply at regular intervals.
Sharma ordered strict action against hoarding and black marketing of LPG and other petroleum products. Sharma also directed teams to watch for fake news and rumours. Sharma said timely public messages should go out through different channels. The instructions were meant to avoid panic and reduce consumer inconvenience.
LPG cylinders supply in Rajasthan: Leave cancelled and essential supplies focus
Sharma directed that essential supplies should get top priority across the state system. An official release said Sharma asked for leave to be cancelled for food and civil supplies staff. The step was meant to ensure full staffing during monitoring and distribution work. Officials were told to stay alert to any disruption risks.
LPG cylinders supply in Rajasthan: Helpline action and district coordination
Later, Chief Secretary V Srinivas met district collectors, SPs, senior officials and oil marketing company representatives. Srinivas asked officers to act quickly on hoarding or black marketing complaints. Srinivas said complaints received on police helpline 112 must get prompt action. Srinivas also said complaints could be filed on Rajasthan Sampark helpline 181.
State officials said the directions focused on keeping LPG cylinders available and ensuring fair distribution. The government also asked departments to counter misinformation and take action against those spreading it. Meetings with districts and oil marketing companies aimed to improve coordination. The helpline process was presented as a way to report problems quickly.
