Ramayana Part 1 Advance Booking: Rs. 8.27 Crore Gross, 1.47 Lakh Tickets Sold 13 Days Before Release

Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana: Part One is in full demand at the ticket window, 13 days before its worldwide release on November 5. According to Sacnilk, advance booking stood at Rs. 8.27 crore gross including block seats as of 10 AM on October 23, while the figure excluding block seats was Rs. 6.25 crore. Around 1.47 lakh tickets have been accounted for across 3,964 shows in 121 cities, with the Hindi version leading sales.

The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. Expectations are high. It topped IMDb's list of the most anticipated Indian movies of 2026, and the Rama-Ravana face-off in the second trailer has kept the buzz going. The film has been granted a U certificate and has a runtime of 3 hours 15 minutes.

Ramayana Part 1 Advance Booking

Genuine demand is pulling ahead

The more interesting story sits beneath the headline number. Block seats are held by exhibitors and should not be counted as confirmed audience purchases, so the split matters. Since the first 24 hours of booking, gross excluding block seats has grown about 73%, from Rs. 3.61 crore to Rs. 6.25 crore. The total including blocks has grown about 52%, from Rs. 5.44 crore to Rs. 8.27 crore.

As a result, blocked seats have slipped from about 34% of the initial gross to roughly 24% now. Of the Rs. 2.83 crore added since the first day, around 93% came from bookings excluding block seats. In other words, the recent growth is coming overwhelmingly from ticket buyers rather than additional blocked inventory.

Tickets per show are rising

The number of tracked shows has increased by about 12%, from 3,533 to 3,964, while tickets including blocks have risen about 58%, from 92,755 to 1.47 lakh. That has lifted the average from 26 tickets per show to 37. This suggests booking growth is outpacing the expansion of shows, although it does not show how evenly demand is spread across the newly added screenings.

Overseas and premium pricing

Overseas, advance sales had crossed $770,000 by October 19, with North America accounting for about 72% of that, according to Business Today. The US premiere screenings on November 4 had sold around 10,800 tickets for nearly $210,000 at that stage. At home, premium seats are commanding a hefty price, with tickets in Mumbai reported at up to Rs. 2,770.
