The controversy may now move beyond the film industry and enter the legal arena. Producers associated with Ranveer Singh's upcoming films are reportedly examining whether the matter can be taken to the Competition Commission of India (CCI).

They are referring to an earlier 2017 case involving filmmaker Vipul Amrutlal Shah, where the CCI observed that industry-wide bans and restrictions on hiring non-members could potentially violate competition laws.

Reports indicate that if the dispute escalates further, multiple producers may jointly seek regulatory intervention to challenge the non-cooperation directive.

From Don 3 to Pralay: Ranveer Singh Controversy Begins Impacting Future Projects

Apart from Pralay, Ranveer Singh is also attached to filmmaker Aditya Dhar's historical drama based on Chandragupta Maurya. The actor is additionally reported to be in discussions with Aditya Chopra for another future project.

As of now, neither side appears ready to back down completely, though both producers and FWICE are still leaving room for negotiations.
