Raymond Q2 EBITDA Margin Expands to 11.5%
Raymond's operating performance improved at a faster pace than revenue growth. Consolidated EBITDA increased 74.4% year-on-year to Rs 75 crore from Rs 43 crore, while the EBITDA margin expanded to 11.5% from 8.14%, an improvement of 336 basis points.
Higher volumes, cost optimisation and a favourable business mix supported profitability. However, total expenses also increased to Rs 641.22 crore from Rs 544.37 crore in the year-ago quarter, reflecting higher material, employee and manufacturing costs as operations expanded.
Total consolidated income stood at Rs 683.22 crore, including other income of Rs 28.06 crore. Profit before tax from continuing operations, before exceptional items, increased to Rs 42.67 crore from Rs 19.12 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Raymond's Aerospace and Defence Revenue Jumps 128%

The segment benefited from higher production for global original equipment manufacturers, an expanded product portfolio and easing supply-chain pressures. Its specialised manufacturing capabilities also position it to pursue opportunities arising from rising demand for precision-engineered aerospace components.
Raymond is investing approximately Rs 510 crore in a greenfield capacity expansion in Andhra Pradesh to strengthen its aerospace manufacturing operations and cater to future demand from domestic and international customers. The returns from this investment will depend on execution, capacity utilisation and the conversion of orders into revenue.
Precision Technology and Auto Components Support Revenue
Raymond's precision technology and auto components business remained its largest revenue contributor, generating Rs 470.61 crore during the quarter, compared with Rs 409.23 crore a year earlier.
The division benefited from domestic demand and export deliveries to original equipment manufacturers. It could also gain from the China Plus One strategy, under which global manufacturers diversify their supply chains beyond China and consider alternative production locations such as India.
The company's ability to maintain cost competitiveness, meet quality requirements and execute customer orders will be important in converting these opportunities into sustained growth.
