Tripura's Garia Puja begins on the last day of the month of Chaitra and concludes on the seventh day of Baisakh. During this period, devotees gather in temples to worship an idol of Baba Garia, traditionally crafted from bamboo. At the heart of the celebration stands a bamboo pole, beautifully decorated with flowers and garlands, symbolising Lord Garia, the deity of wealth, prosperity, and livestock. Rice, wine, earthen pots, thread cloth etc. are used in the Puja. People sing traditional songs and dance with drums. Devotees pray to Garia Baba for good crop yield.
