Due to the coronavirus outbreak, RBI has revised trading hours for money market from 10 am to 2 pm. The new timings will be effective from April 7 and continue until April 17.
Currently, the market trades from 9 am to 5 pm.
Regular banking services for customers that includes RTGS and NEFT will be available.
"Staff and IT resources have been severely affected, posing operational and logistic risks. The thinning out of activity is impacting market liquidity and increasing volatility of financial prices, the central bank said in a statement.
