The earlier October RBI MPC meet was postponed citing a probable reason that back end processes such as background and security check of newly appointed members is yet to be completed.

And now as the appointment of new monetary policy committee members has been made public, the government has also announced the new dates for the MPC meet which was earlier scheduled for October 1.
While with the new appointments from diverse background there is anticipated diverse set of views. Economists do not see an immediate change in policy directions i.e. the near term policy outlook is unlikely to see a change.
