RCB Vs GT

Keeping in mind the stampede incident that happened last year after RCB won IPL 2025 Cup, Bengaluru City Police has issued a public advisory ahead of the Tata IPL 2026 final, urging citizens to celebrate responsibly if RCB wins and avoid activities that could disrupt public order.

The advisory was issued by the Office of the Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru City, amid growing excitement among RCB fans after the team secured a place in the IPL 2026 final. With large crowds expected to gather across the city to watch the title clash, police have outlined a series of restrictions in order to ensure public safety and maintain law and order.

Bengaluru Police Advisory for IPL 2026 Final

In its press note, Bengaluru City Police stated that people should not engage in celebrations in public places after the final IPL result is announced. Authorities said prior permission would be required for installing LED walls, while existing LED screens should not be used for public match screenings without approval from the concerned authorities.

Police also directed that screens should not be installed outside malls, pubs, restaurants, or other public places in a manner visible to the general public for watching the match.

Bike Rallies, Stunts and Road Blockades Prohibited

The advisory specifically warned against activities that could create traffic congestion or pose risks to public safety.

According to the police, "bike rallies, over-speeding, stunt riding, unnecessary honking, and road blockades are strictly prohibited. Traffic police instructions must be followed at all times, especially in crowded areas where large gatherings may occur during and after the match."
Authorities also appealed to citizens to maintain peace and discipline throughout the event.

Crackers and Public Drinking Not Allowed

Bengaluru Police further stated that bursting crackers and using dangerous materials during celebrations would not be permitted.
The advisory also cautioned against consuming alcohol in public places or engaging in behaviour that could lead to fights, disturbances, or public nuisance. Police warned that strict action could be taken against those violating the guidelines.

The police have also urged citizens to exercise restraint on social media platforms. Fans have been advised not to share provocative content, hateful messages, or unverified rumours related to the IPL final.

Authorities also cautioned supporters against insulting or provoking fans of rival teams under the guise of celebrating the match result.
With emotions expected to run high during the IPL final, Bengaluru Police has appealed to citizens to cooperate with authorities and ensure that celebrations remain peaceful.
