RE-NEET 2026 Date Announced: NTA Reveals Fresh Exam Schedule After Cancellation; Admit Card, Fee Details Out
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the new date for the RE-NEET UG 2026 examination after cancelling the earlier exam held on May 3, 2026. According to the latest notification, the NEET UG 2026 re-exam will now be conducted on Sunday, June 21st.

The New exam date has been announced just three days after the government and NTA decided to scrap the earlier NEET 2026 exam in the wake of allegations of irregularities and concerns raised over the fairness of the examination process.
RE-NEET UG 2026 exam date announced
In its latest notice, the National Testing Agency said the re-examination for NEET UG 2026 has been scheduled with the approval of the Government of India.
The agency confirmed that all eligible candidates will be able to appear for the fresh examination on June 21. NTA has also asked students and parents to rely only on official announcements and avoid fake news or misleading information circulating on social media.
Why was NEET UG 2026 cancelled?
The NEET UG 2026 exam conducted on May 3 was cancelled after serious concerns were raised regarding the integrity of the examination process.
According to NTA, the matter was referred to central agencies on May 8 for verification and investigation. Based on findings shared by law enforcement agencies and other inputs reviewed by NTA, the government decided that the existing examination process could not continue.
The agency stated that the cancellation decision was taken to maintain transparency and protect the credibility of national-level entrance examinations.
Government orders CBI inquiry into NEET UG 2026 controversy
The Government of India has also referred the NEET UG 2026 issue to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a detailed inquiry.
NTA said it will fully cooperate with the investigation and provide all records and materials required by the agency.
The development has become one of the biggest education news stories in India, with lakhs of medical aspirants waiting for clarity on the NEET re-exam date, admit cards, and counselling process.
No fresh registration needed for RE-NEET 2026
The National Testing Agency has clarified that students will not have to register again for the re-exam. The registration details, candidature, and examination centres selected during the earlier NEET UG 2026 application process will automatically be carried forward for the fresh exam.
NTA also confirmed no additional examination fee will be charged, Fees already paid by students will be refunded and the Fresh admit cards for RE-NEET 2026 will be issued separately
The revised admit card release date and other important details will be announced soon on official NTA platforms.
The agency said all official information related to the RE-NEET exam date, admit cards, exam centres, and updates will only be released through official channels.
