This ambitious goal is driven by the company's aspirations to secure a spot among the top five smartphone brands globally. Sky Li, the founder and CEO of realme, expressed optimism about the company's prospects in India during the launch of the realme 12 Pro Series 5G.

Strategic Growth Drivers and Market Insights
Li emphasized that realme has strategically aligned its key growth drivers to capitalize on the anticipated resurgence of the Indian smartphone market in 2024. The widespread adoption of 5G technology and the increasing demand for value-centric offerings are seen as key factors fueling this growth. Despite global economic shifts and inflationary pressures, Li observed that Indian consumers are actively seeking enhanced value in smartphone deals, demonstrating a strong interest in premiumization.
realme's Growing Market Share in India
According to Counterpoint Research, realme's market share in India experienced a notable increase in the third quarter of 2023. The company's market share grew from 13.6% in the same period the previous year to 14.4%, showcasing its growing popularity among Indian consumers.
Introducing the realme 12 Pro Series 5G
In line with its growth strategy, realme unveiled its premium smartphone lineup, the realme 12 Pro Series 5G. The series comprises two models: the realme 12 Pro 5G and the realme 12 Pro+ 5G. These smartphones are positioned in the mid-range price segment, with the realme 12 Pro 5G priced between Rs 25,999 and Rs 26,999, and the realme 12 Pro+ 5G priced between Rs 29,999 and Rs 33,999.
Collaboration with Oscar-Winning Cinematographer
To enhance the camera capabilities of its latest smartphone series, realme collaborated with Oscar-winning cinematographer Claudio Miranda. This collaboration resulted in the creation of three exclusive camera filters that aim to elevate the photography experience for users.
Proprietary MasterShot Algorithm and Advanced Camera Features
The realme 12 Pro series 5G boasts a proprietary MasterShot Algorithm, developed in partnership with Qualcomm. This algorithm is designed to optimize camera performance and deliver stunning photography results. Additionally, the realme 12 Pro+ 5G features a 64MP megapixel periscope telephoto camera, while the realme 12 Pro 5G incorporates a 32 MP Sony IMX 709 telephoto camera, a 50MP Sony IMX 882 main camera, and an 8MP ultra wide camera.
