Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Reliance Retail Ventures Limited (RRVL), has unveiled a strategic partnership with Sri Lanka-based Elephant House to introduce and distribute a diverse range of beverages under the Elephant House brand in India.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone for RCPL, further solidifying its position in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector and expanding its beverage portfolio in the Indian market.

Elephant House, owned by Ceylon Cold Stores PLC, a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC, Sri Lanka's largest listed conglomerate, is renowned for its iconic beverages such as Necto, Cream Lemonade, Orange Barley, Ginger Beer, and Soda, to name a few.
The brand's longstanding heritage and market credibility make it a valuable addition to RCPL's growing FMCG portfolio, which already includes well-established brands like Campa, Sosyo, and Raskik.
Ketan Mody, Chief Operating Officer of Reliance Consumer Products Limited, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting Elephant House's esteemed reputation and deep-rooted heritage. Mody emphasised that the collaboration would not only enrich RCPL's beverage offerings but also provide Indian consumers with quality products and diverse choices. With Reliance's extensive experience in managing renowned global brands in India, Mody expressed confidence in expanding Elephant House's presence in the Indian market.
Krishan Balendra, Chairperson of the John Keells Group, echoed Mody's sentiments, expressing pride in extending the Elephant House brand to India. Balendra emphasised the significance of the partnership with RCPL in enhancing Elephant House's journey and reaffirmed the commitment to delivering high-quality beverages to new consumer segments in India. He also emphasised the opportunity the partnership brings to offer refreshing and innovative beverage options that cater to the diverse preferences of Indian consumers.
In addition to the partnership with Elephant House, RCPL is aggressively expanding its multi-channel operations to reach a wider consumer base across diverse markets. The company's versatile FMCG portfolio includes iconic beverage brands, an extensive confectionery range, snacks, leading biscuit brands, staples, and daily convenience products.
In the home and personal care segment, RCPL offers a variety of products, such as dishwashing liquids, laundry detergent, soaps, and toilet cleaners, further enhancing its comprehensive offerings to consumers.
With this strategic collaboration, RCPL continues to strengthen its foothold in the Indian FMCG market while further diversifying its product portfolio to meet the evolving needs and preferences of consumers nationwide.
