Reliance Jio Launches Rs 55 JioTV Pro Add-On Pack With 1000+ Live TV Channels For 30 Days
If you are a binge-watcher who likes to enjoy live television channels on smartphones, then this news is for you. India's largest telecom operator, Reliance Jio, has recently introduced JioTV Pro pack at an affordable rate of Rs 55, offering access to more than 1,000 live television channels in over 16 languages.
JioTV Pro Rs 55 Plan Details
Reliance Jio's new Rs 55 JioTV Pro recharge plan is available for both prepaid and postpaid users. The new entertainment add-on offers a validity of 30 days and unlocks access to over 1,000 live television channels, including more than 150 premium television channels, offering high-quality content from major broadcasters such as JioStar, Warner Bros Discovery, Sun TV Network, ETV and Sony Entertainment.

However, users should note that the Rs 55 pack, which enables HD streaming on compatible channels, primarily focuses on entertainment. It does not include any mobile service validity, voice, data, or SMS benefits, making it a dedicated TV streaming add-on pack. Also, it does not include live sports broadcasts from Sony and JioStar. Interestingly, it comes with a tiny bonus of 10 MB of emergency data, which isn't much for HD streaming but can serve as a backup if your main data balance runs out.
With this budget-friendly add-on, the Navi Mumbai-based company aims to expand its footprint in the entertainment streaming sector, as similar low-cost live TV plans are currently limited in the industry. With this new launch, the company expects to bring in more TV viewing users by offering access to affordable TV with live channels on their smartphones.
How To Avail The Rs 55 JioTV Pro Pack?
Customers interested in this new offer can purchase the Rs 55 JioTV Pro pack through Jio's online or offline recharge channels. If you are recharging through the MyJio app, then navigate to the Entertainment Plans section, select the Rs 55 pack and complete the payment. Once activated, users can log in to the JioTV app using the same Jio mobile number and start streaming their favourite live television channels.
The introduction of the affordable entertainment pack comes as Reliance Jio is gearing up for an initial public offering. According to the filing with the Securities and Exchange Board of India, the company plans to issue up to 270 million shares, expecting to raise $3.8 billion to $4 billion. The offering is expected to surpass Hyundai Motor India's record $3.3 billion IPO in 2024.
Commenting on Reliance Jio's IPO, Mukesh Ambani at the annual shareholder meeting of Reliance Industries, said, "The proposed listing of Jio will demonstrate to the world that India can build technology companies of global scale, global capability, and global value."
"The Jio IPO is described as the most important value creation milestone this year," the billionaire added during the shareholder address.
