Revalyu Resources Launches Second Plastic Recycling Unit in Nashik to Enhance Capacity

Recycling company revalyu Resources has announced the launch of a second plastic recycling unit at its Nashik plant, aiming to enhance production capacity. With this new addition, the company now processes over 20 million used PET bottles daily, converting them into 160 tonnes of high-quality chips and polymer, according to a company statement.

A third plant is currently under construction, fully funded as part of a USD 100 million investment. This facility is expected to contribute an additional 120 tonnes per day by the third quarter of 2025. Once operational, the site will recycle approximately 35 million post-consumer plastic bottles daily, with a total production capacity reaching 280 tonnes per day.

The CEO of revalyu India, Makarand Kulkarni, highlighted the strategic importance of their Nashik site. "Our Nashik site underscores our strategic vision of reinforcing our leadership position in the PET recycling landscape globally. This environmentally sustainable chemical recycling process is scalable and replicable and that gives our customers an edge in their respective markets, the technology is a game changer. We will continue to explore collaborations globally to build scale and create market opportunities," he stated.

Global Expansion and Future Goals

Looking ahead, revalyu Resources plans to establish a PET recycling facility in the USA by 2027 with a capacity of 240 tonnes per day. The company also aims to expand its global footprint through partnerships, targeting a production increase to over 1,000 tonnes per day by 2030.
