Rhetan TMT Advances Solar Power Project With New Land Lease, Expects Implementation By May 2025

The company Rhetan TMT Ltd. which is well known for both trading and manufacturing of steel has progressed significantly in its solar energy project. The organization has secured a mietvertrag for a parcel of land located in Village UN, Taluka Kankrej, District Banaskantha, Gujarat. This land is considered optimal to build a 2 MW solar power plant. This was an earlier problem posed with the site in Untarda, Taluka Bayad, District Aravalli, which was proposed earlier.

The goal of this solar plant is to make clean energy available for internal use at the Rhetan TMT factory in Kadi, state of Gujarat. The installation has been ordered from the vendor, and provisional approval has been obtained from GEDA. On 5 December 2024, an application for connectivity approval was conveyed to GETCO with a response expected in the second half of January of the following year. It is expected that the entire project will be completed by May 2025.
