RIL Q4 Result Update: Consolidated PAT Surges Over 22%, Board Recommends Dividend

Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) announced a 22.50 percent year-on-year (YoY) increase in consolidated net profit or Profit After Tax (PAT) surges to Rs 16,203 crore on Friday, up from Rs 13,227 crore the previous quarter. Revenue from operations increased 36.79 percent year on year to Rs 211,887 crore, up from Rs 154,896 crore the previous quarter. Reliance Retail's Q4 revenue increased by 33.68 percent to Rs 58,019 crore from Rs 57,717 crore, while the Gross Value of Sales and Services increased to Rs 257,308 crore from Rs 192,479 crore in the previous quarter.

Oil to Chemicals (O2C) Q4 revenue has been Rs 145,786 Cr, up from Rs 101,080 in the year-ago quarter; Oil and Gas revenue reached Rs 2,008 Cr, up from Rs 848 in the year-ago quarter; Digital Services revenue amounted to Rs 27,196 Cr, up from Rs 22,628 in the year-ago quarter; and Financial Services revenue stood at Rs 525 Cr, up from Rs 474 Cr in the quarter March 2021.

The company's retail EBITDA reached Rs 3,712 Cr in the March 2022 quarter, up 2.45 percent from Rs 3,623 Cr the previous quarter. Total Segment earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) were Rs 33,493 Cr, up 30.30 percent from Rs 25,704 Cr in the same quarter previous year.

"The continuance of coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic globally and in India is causing significant disturbance and slowdown of economic activity. The Group's operations and revenue were impacted due to COVID-19. During the year ended March 31, 2022, there is no significant impact of COVID-19 on the operations of the Group," the company has said in a statement.

"The Board of Directors has recommended dividend of Rs 8/- per fully paid up equity share of Rs 10/- each for the financial year ended March 31, 2022. This payment of dividend is subject to approval of members of the Company at ensuing Annual General Meeting of the Company," Reliance Industries has said in an exchange filing.

Reliance Jio, on the other hand, reported a standalone profit of Rs 4,173 crore, up 24.20 percent over the previous quarter's Rs 3,360 crore. In the quarter-ended March 31, 2022, the company's Profit Before Tax (PBT) remained at Rs 5,592 Cr, climbing 24.32 percent over the previous quarter. For the fiscal year ended March 31, 2022, Reliance Jio's consolidated profit after tax (PAT) or net profit increased by 23% to Rs 14,854 crore, up from Rs 12,071 crore in FY21.
