Roshni Nadar, India's Richest Woman, Takes Over As HCL Chairperson

India's richest woman Roshni Nadar Malhotra took over as the Chairperson of HCL from erstwhile Shiv Nadar, as per the release from the IT giant. Shiv Nadar however will continue to serve in the capacity of Managing Director and Chief Strategy Officer of the company.

Before the current position, Roshni Nadar worked as the executive director and CEO of HCL Corporation, vice-chairperson of board of HCL Tech and trustee of the Shiv Nadar Foundation.

In a span of just a year of joining the firm, Malhotra was appointed as executive director and CEO of HCL Corporation - the holding company of HCL Technologies and HCL Infosystems. Also, she was appointed as an additional director HCL Tech's board in 2013.

She is deeply engaged in brand building exercise for all of the company's verticals across the group. With schooling done in Vasant Valley School and graduation from Northwestern University with specialisation in communication, she also holds an MBA degree from Kellogg School of Management in the United States.

Malhotra has won many accolades and awards over the years. She has also been featured in Forbes list of "The World's Most Powerful Women" from 2017 to 2019.
