Rupee Opens Flat At 75.60 Per US Dollar

Rupee in Wednesday's trade (June 24, 2020) opened flat at 75.60 versus its previous close at 75.64 per US dollar. In the previous day, rupee's strength came on the back of strong Indian equities, weakness in dollar as also the foreign fund inflows.

In the bond market, the yield on benchmark bonds stood at 5.904%.

In the last 24 hours the country has added a record 16000 new coronavirus cases.

Oil prices today retreated lower as US stockpile came in higher than expected. Futures dropped down to levels of near $40 per barrel levels, still maintaining 3-month high levels.

Meanwhile, Indian equities tracking mixed global markets are up for the 5th straight session, with Nifty above 10500 .
