Rupee Opens Higher At 71.21/ US Dollar

At 9:12 am, the home currency was quoting at 71.21 per US dollar as against the previous close of 71.27.

Oil rebounded from a one-year low level and traded above $50 per barrel ran into Russian resistance in its push for further production cuts for combatting a virus-driven demand crunch.

In the bond market, yield on 10-year benchmark bonds came in at 6.52%.

Meanwhile, the Sensex after opening in the green was up by 47.77 points, while Nifty was below 12000.
